I listen to an audio drama called Adventures in Odyssey, and have been as far back as I can remember. Just recently, album 61 was released, and in it, there was a new character named Morrey Rydell. The actor of this new character is Atticus Shaffer, who has the most unique voice I have ever heard!
On an app called the Odyssey Adventure Club, where they have they’re podcasts and all of they’re episodes, I listened to a podcast about Atticus Shaffer, and was pretty amazed by his story.
He is approximately 4’ 8” at age 18.
He has osteogenesis imperfecta, a disease involving a defect in type 1 collagen, which causes fragile bones. His small stature from this condition allows him to portray a character on The Middle approximately 3 to 5 years younger than his real-life age. He also requires a body double during scenes where he could become hurt. He is homeschooled and is an avid reader, much like the character he portrays on The Middle.
I don’t really know anything about The Middle, so I can’t recommend it or not, but I do know that Atticus is a very strong Christian, and was brought up in a Christian home, also being homeschooled.
He and his mother are avid readers, and Atticus was named after Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird.
